Two Days Only! Calling All Fibrolamellar Patients, Families and Friends!
Did you know that there is almost zero federal funding for research into cancers that affect young adults and adolescents, such as fibrolamellar?
We have two days -- Tuesday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 11 - to change that!
Along with our friends at fellow cancer advocacy groups, the Fibrolamellar Registry is urging everyone to call the House Defense Appropriation Subcommittee members and ask them to support a $30 million line item for a Peer-Reviewed Adolescent Young Adult (AYA) and Pediatric Cancer Research Program within the Department of Defense (DoD) Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program. This is extremely important as we need to make sure our voice is heard on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. this Tuesday and Wednesday. With every phone call, we make a stronger case.
If you ARE from one of the states with a representative on the DoD Appropriations Subcommittee listed below, please call the Representative from your state AND call Chairman Frelinghuysen's office.

Hi. My name is (FIRST NAME LAST NAME) and I am from Congressman/woman's (INSERT NAME) (DISTRICT or STATE). I am calling to ask for his/her support for the Young Adult, Adolescent and Pediatric Cancer Research Program in the Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program. Currently, there are no line items for the cancers that affect 86% of our ACTIVE military.
